Classic lashes: A set where one extension is applied to one natural lash. It looks like your own lashes, only longer and more defined. See Classic Full Set.
Volume lashes: A set where a fan of several very fine extensions is attached to a single natural lash, for a fuller, more textured look.
Mixed (hybrid) lashes: A set that blends classic extensions and volume fans. It is fuller than classic and softer than a full volume set. See Mixed Full Set.
Full set: The first application of extensions, or a new application when a previous set is too far gone to fill.
Fill: A maintenance visit that replaces extensions that have shed or grown out so the set keeps its shape. Fills are usually booked every few weeks. See Classic Fill.
Mini fill: A shorter fill for a set that still has most of its extensions in place. See Mini Fill.
Retention: How well extensions stay on until they shed naturally with your own lashes. Aftercare and lash cleanliness both affect it.
Curl: The shape of the extension, labeled by letter (such as C or D). A bigger curl gives a more lifted, open look.
Length: How long the extension is, measured in millimeters. Olivia chooses lengths to suit your natural lashes and the look you want.
Diameter (thickness): How thick each extension is, also measured in millimeters. Finer diameters feel lighter; thicker ones look darker and bolder.
Adhesive: The glue that bonds the extension to the natural lash. Oils and moisture in the first 24 hours can affect how well it holds.
Gel removal: Taking extensions off with a gel remover that softens the adhesive. Extensions should be removed at the studio, not at home. See Lash Removal.
Lash lift: A shaping service that curls and lifts your natural lashes from the root. No extensions are added. See Lash Lift.
Lash tint: A semi-permanent cosmetic color applied to natural lashes so they look darker and more defined. See Lash Tint.
Lash lift and tint: A lash lift and a lash tint combined in one visit. See Lash Lift & Tint.
Brow lamination: A brow styling service that sets brow hairs in a brushed-up, fuller position. See Brow Lamination.
Brow tint: A semi-permanent cosmetic color applied to the brow hairs and skin beneath for more definition. See Brow Tint.
Brow wax: Shaping the brow by removing stray hair with wax. See Brow Wax.
Lip wax: Removing fine hair from the upper lip with wax. See Lip Wax.
Patch test: A small test of a product on your skin before a full service, to see how your skin reacts. It is not a guarantee. See Patch Tests.
Natural lash cycle: Your lashes grow, rest and shed on their own schedule. Extensions come off with the lash they were bonded to, which is why the set thins over time.
Cleanser: An oil-free lash cleanser used to keep extensions and lashes clean. It is included with full sets.
